At Home with the Lectionary
Years A,B, & C, Christmas Day!
In this episode, we consider the three sets of readings for Christmas Day (every year in the lectionary cycle):
Christmas Day 1: Luke 2:1-14 (15-20); Titus 2:11-14; Psalm 96; Isaiah 9:2-7
Christmas Day 2: Luke 2:(1-7) 8-20; Titus 3:4-7; Psalm 97; Isaiah 62:6-12
Christmas Day 3: John 1:1-14; Hebrews 1:1-4, (5-12); Psalm 98; Isaiah 52:7-10
This is a feast of Scripture readings! We offer brief commentary on the passages, discussing the themes of Jesus' incarnation, God tabernacling among people, the mystery and hope of salvation and God's justice-bringing, peace-making work in Jesus. So much to ponder!

Our outro music is an original song by our friend Dcn. Jeremiah Webster, a poet and professor whose giftedness is rivaled by his humbleness. You can find his published works, including After So Many Fires, with a quick Google.
