In this episode, we consider the readings for the Proper 4, Year B in the Lectionary cycle: 1 Samuel 3:1-10 (11-20) & Psalm 139:1-5, 12-17 or Deuteronomy 5:12-15 & Psalm 81:1-10; 2 Corinthians 4:5-12; Mark 2:23-3:6.

We discuss the sexual abuse and exploitation done by Eli's priest-sons and the beginning of Samuel's prophetic ministry, the movements of Psalm 139, Paul's humility, and the ways hard-hearted religious leaders angered Jesus & rejected the Sabbath & His healing.
